EVS - European Voluntary Service

18 years old and tired of Germany? With the EVS Programme you will be able to do voluntary work in a European country of your choice. You need to be between 18 and 30 years old. The Programme covers all costs!!!

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is Action 2 of the Community YOUTH IN ACTION Programme. It supports transnational voluntary service by young people. Its aims are to develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, primarily so as to sustain social cohesion in the European Union. It encourages active citizenship and enhances mutual understanding among young people. These general objectives will be achieved by: helping young people participate in various forms of voluntary activities, both within and outside the European Union; giving young people the opportunity to express their personal commitment through voluntary activities at European and international level; involving young volunteers in a non-profit-making, unpaid and full-time activity for the benefit of the general public in a country other than their country of residence.

YOU SHOULD GO - This is a unique chance to finally make some life changing experiences - I know this sounds like an advertisement, but in this case it's not!
Here is a collection of paperwork / information that will allow you to develop a better picture of this Programme and what it does for you.

  1. I totally agree. This is an experience you will never forget. You will gain so much from being abroad for some time. It doesn't need to have links to your professional work or your education. Just the experience to live in a foreign country, in an unknown environment and to do some useful non-profit work is so full of chances you even cannot imagine before you have done it by yourself. Try - it will change your life for sure!!!!
